As with any profession and business, there are incompetent polygraph examiners in the field. Some lie to you and say that can do a polygraph exam over the phone which is not true. There are others who have two polygraph examiners in the room during the test which is against Polygraph Standards and causes distractions during the test.
Questions to ask when looking for a Polygraph Examiner:
- Has the examiner trained at a Polygraph School accredited by the American Polygraph Association and recognized by the American Association of Police Polygraphists?
- Is the examiner a member of a legitimate National and/or State Polygraph Association?
- Will the examiner provide a written report in a timely manner?
- Does the examiner attend yearly Polygraph training seminars sponsored by any of the legitimate Polygraph Associations?
- Is the exam location a private, professional and discrete office location?
If the answer is no to any of the above questions, you can be wasting your money on an unqualified examiner. We can answer YES to all of the above questions. If you choose not to utilize our services, please use someone who can answer YES to the above questions.
Derek is also a leader in the Polygraph Field, having served on various Polygraph Boards and assisted with training new polygraph examiners.
